Darklock docs

Everything you need to set up, configure and run Darklock. For the full in-app command reference, use /help in your server.

Getting started

Add Darklock with the invite link, then run /setup in your server. The guided setup:

  • Creates a moderation log channel (or uses one you pick)
  • Enables anti-raid, anti-spam and anti-phishing with safe defaults
  • Optionally configures verification, welcome messages and tickets

That's genuinely it — protection is live. Everything below is tuning.

Core commands

Darklock uses slash commands. The most important ones:

  • /setup — guided server setup and reconfiguration
  • /automod — configure anti-raid, anti-spam, filters and automatic responses
  • /help — searchable command list with per-command details
  • /warn, /timeout, /kick, /ban — moderation actions, all logged with case numbers
  • /case — look up a moderation case by ID
  • /verify — manage the verification gate
  • /ticket — ticket panel and settings
  • /backup — create and restore server backups
  • /admin — server-level bot administration
Older /anti-raid style commands were merged into /automod. If a guide mentions a command that no longer exists, check /automod first.

Protection systems

Anti-raid

Monitors join velocity, account age and name patterns. When thresholds trip, the configured action runs automatically — the default is quarantine, which strips access but keeps the accounts in place for review. Lockdown mode can pause all joins until you release it.

Anti-nuke

Watches for mass channel/role deletion, mass bans, webhook floods and permission escalation. Offending accounts have their roles stripped immediately and the incident is logged. Whitelist trusted admins before doing planned bulk changes.

Anti-phishing & anti-spam

Messages are checked against a live scam-domain database plus lookalike-domain detection. Floods, duplicate messages and mention storms are rate-limited. All filters are configurable per channel via /automod.

Verification

New members must pass a button or captcha challenge before receiving the verified role. Unverified accounts can be removed automatically after a timeout you set.

Tickets and appeals

Post a ticket panel with /ticket. Members click Open Ticket to get a private channel; staff can claim, prioritize and close with a saved transcript. Ban appeals arrive in your review channel with the original case attached — approve or deny with one click, and the user is notified.

Multi-server moderation

Enterprise servers can be linked into a network from the dashboard under Setup → Multi-Server Moderation:

  • Link servers with a one-time code; unlink any time
  • Synced actions — bans and mutes propagate to linked servers after a staff member approves the network action
  • Watchlist — flag a user once and get an alert when they join any linked server
  • Exemptions — override any synced action per server
  • Network audit log — one timeline across the whole network

Dashboard

The web dashboard mirrors and extends the slash commands: toggle protection modules, edit thresholds and filters, browse the moderation case history, manage tickets and appeals, restore backups and view analytics. Sign in with Discord — access follows your server permissions, and owners can grant scoped dashboard roles to staff.

Troubleshooting

  • Bot isn't responding — check status, then confirm Darklock's role is above the roles it needs to manage.
  • Commands missing — re-invite with the official link so the applications.commands scope is granted.
  • A filter is too aggressive — tune it in /automod or the dashboard; every automated action is reversible from its case entry.
  • Something else — ask in the support server or file a bug report.

Ready to try it?

Add Darklock and run /setup — you'll be protected before you finish your coffee.
